The Neighborhoods

The HPDL Community Association serves three south-central Minneapolis neighborhoods - Hale on its north-east side, Page on its north-west side and Diamond Lake on its south side. Each has it own unique flavor...

The "H" in HPDL stands for Hale.
The Hale Neighborhood is bounded by Minnehaha Creek on the north, Cedar Avenue on the east, 55th Street on the south and Chicago Avenue on the west. Within its boundaries are 1375 households. It is the education center of the neighborhood, housing Hale School and Our Lady of Peace School.

The "P" in HPDL stands for Page.
The Page Neighborhood is bounded by Minnehaha Creek on the north, Chicago Avenue on the east, Diamond Lake Road and 55th Street on the south and Interstate 35W on the west. It is the smallest of the three having only 695 households within its boundaries. The community gem - Pearl Park - is the mainstay of this neighborhood.

The "DL" in HPDL stands for Diamond Lake.
The Diamond Lake Neighborhood is bounded by Diamond Lake Road and 55th Street on the north, Cedar Avenue on the east, 62nd Street on the south and Interstate 35W on the west. It is by far the largest of the three having 2233 households within its boundaries. Diamond Lake contains three parks (Todd, Ed Solomon and Diamond Lake) and a variety of restaraunts including The 5-8 Club, First Course and Fat Lorenzo's.
